Listening to: Lagwagon - May 16

Just another Saturday. Not quite. I am back in action after about ten days of workworkwork, (the annual) playoff heartbreak for my Minnesota teams (they performed admirably, though), and spending time with the dog. Chess is effectively over after a makeup class, my hard work has been paying off and I can pare down my night job, and, as such, the PJCC dream remains alive!

Lagwagon, Bad Astronaut, and Joey Cape’s solo albums are just fantastic. He is very talented with a great voice, and has been incredibly prolific over the years. Today is a Saturday, May 16th, and I hope they are doing a big show somewhere today; I know they have done that in the past even when not necessarily touring. If it’s anywhere within three hours of me, I will have thrown my PC out of the window and you may not have any new blogs for awhile!

What I worked on:

  • Studying loop cuts and extruding faces along normals. Man, Blender is tricky.
  • Just been working, man. Ugh. Sometimes it felt like I was just spinning my tires, you know? But whenever you feel that way, remember the effort you are putting in and what extra you CAN do. THE BELIEF REMAINS

What’s next:

  • I still feel in the thick of work, which I am. But really, that one leftover chess class is making it difficult to compartmentalize things, so I am eager to put a bow on this season’s sessions this week!
  • Ed Nightingdale is credited, I believe, for the idea that one hour spent on something daily can make you an expert in five years or less. I like that.
