Well, isn’t this something? The website is looking great so far. This specific post is under maintenance as I am testing the automation of the blog-posting workflow. Actually, you know what? This is the complete post. Things are good. Work is fine. Website structure is basically done; I will do plenty of edits on it in the future, but for now it is a completely functional website.

Chess lessons are going great. I am learning a lot every session myself, as well! One important thing is to really try and capture attention with a lesson up-front. It gets their minds focused on chess, sets the tone for the class, and gets them participating. I like to go with the flow but I struggle to pivot once I have chosen a path. One class I made a choice and stuck with it, but had I taken a moment to re-evaluate during the hour, I could have book-ended the session and would have made class more effective. Something to remember for next time.

What I worked on:

  • The website is effectively done
  • Using Python and , I have automated the blog setup, so the template pops up for me right in the VS Code Editor and I can just type away, find the spotify link and paste it in, and then push it.
  • Messing with Blender as a wind-down activity. It is SO fun just to play around in, although my focus could be better. But if my relaxing time is ALSO spent on P&JCC then things are still going to get done.

What’s next:

  • With the website done, I am running low on Productive Avoidance ideas. It is time to try and make a cartoon dog. Wish me luck.
